AFG Perth employees rolled up their sleeves in early June to plant 780 native seedlings on the banks of Galup (Lake Monger), near Perth CBD, for their annual tree planting day.
Organised by AFG’s Green Team, 18 dedicated employees teamed up with the Town of Cambridge, which is spearheading major revegetation efforts at the lake. Their goal? To restore local ecosystems to their natural glory and improve the poor tree canopy in the area.

The AFG effort was part of a larger project involving various corporates, schools, and community groups, which will collectively plant 30,000 seedlings at Galup (Lake Monger) throughout June.
Seedlings being planted are a mix of wetland and woodland species, selected to provide habitat and food for local wildlife, including our Snake-Necked Turtles, Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos and Forest Red-tailed Black Cockatoos.
The Galup plantings mark AFG’s fourth tree planting event since 2022, demonstrating the company’s unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
